Multi-purpose facility centres to start soon: Chief Minister Jagan

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has said the state government will set up multi-purpose facility centres including for agricultural marketing and food processing under Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) across the state with an outlay of `10,235 crore.
He said during a review meeting on Dr YSR RBKs, agricultural marketing, food processing and Amul project here on Thursday that the construction of multi-purpose facility centers would start in March and be completed in a year. Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said the state government will set up multi purpose facility centers including agricultural marketing and food processing under RBKs across the State with an estimated budget of Rs 10,235 crore.
During a review meeting on Dr YSR RBKs, Agricultural Marketing, Food Processing and Amul project held here on Thursday, the Chief Minister siad the construction of multi purpose facility centers should start in March 2021 and would be completed within a year.The facilities include Warehouses, Drying Platform, Collection Centers, Cold Rooms for Storage, Custom Hiring Centers, Primary Processing Centers, Assaying Equipment, Janata Bazaars, Bulk Milk Cooling Units, Cattle sheds and aqua infra in select Villages, Procurement Centers and e-marketing. ....

51.59 lakh farmers to benefit; 8.34 lakh get relief for damage to crops
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday released the third tranche of ‘YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan’ of ₹1,120 crore benefiting 51.59 lakh farmers along with the compensation of ₹646 crore for crop damage during the Nivar cyclone supporting 8.34 lakh farmers. A total of ₹1,766 crore was deposited in the farmers’ bank accounts with a single click.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jagan said the State government had spent ₹61,400 crore towards farmers’ welfare in the last 18 months. The government was committed to safeguarding the farmers’ interests and thus provided ₹13,101 crore under YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan by giving ₹13,500 every year to 51.59 lakh farmers. Amaravati: Farmers had sowed well in 2019 election and are reaping a bounty harvest with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy rolling a green carpet and continuing the legacy of being farmer friendly through his various welfare schemes and projects. The Year has seen good rainfall, bounty crop and in the testing times of Covid, the Chief Minister gave the much needed helping hand by buying agriculture produce, even perishable goods, and ensuing MSP and checking the price fluctuations.
