The East Singhbhum district administration has made elaborate arrangements to ensure peaceful polling in the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency on May 25. From hassle-free transportation of polling officials to security of voters at polling stations, the authorities have taken all measures. Distributing the six assembly segments of the parliamentary sat into 12 super zones and 22 zones, a total of 230 sector officers have been deployed across 1,887 stations falling under 156 clusters. In all, 188 micro-observers have been appointed to ensure that the polling is done in a free and fair manner. Of 1,887 booths, which includes 688 in the urban circle, the administration has identified 1,050 critical booths and accordingly security measures have been taken. "All necessary steps have been taken to hold polling in a free and fair manner," said DEO Ananya Mittal.
