rise and shine tampa bay, it s sunday. this is a look at downtown tampa on this first day of spring. i m candace mccowan. thank you for joining us. let s start by checking on our forecast with debra shrills. good morning, candace. as you said, it s the first day of spring. certainly some spring-like conditions outside at least as far as the temperatures go. we re in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees around the bay area. we re seeing a few showers and a lot of clouds around. the showers are very, very few and far between. in fact, our rain chance is 30% orless per or less and will continue to drop throughout the day. there s a cold front just to our north that will push through our area around the noontime. then as we head into the afternoon all the rain clears out. the clouds will probably hang around for a will reach the mid 70s. the rain and winds will pick up as we head into the afternoon but we do have some big changes in store in the way of some cooler temperature
