(KPLC) - A Mamou man has been arrested after being accused of trying to set a house on fire with a woman and three children still inside, according to the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal. Around 3 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021, the Evangeline District 1 Fire Department responded to a residence on J J St. in Mamou after receiving a report of a house fire. Once on scene, firefighters learned that a woman and her three children were still inside the home. Firefighters say James N. Rozas, 33, then approached them and admitted that he’d set the house and vehicle on fire. ....
