Greenleaf Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund, set up in honor of a former Waterford resident killed in the terrorists attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, is accepting applications for 8th grade students interested in attending high school at St. Bernard School. The fund has provided more than 225 scholarships totaling more than $450,000 since its inception in 2002. The top scholarship recipient receives a $12,000 scholarship for his/her freshman year at St. Bernard, and, if they maintain good standing, will continue to receive the $12,000 annually for each year in high school. A $2,500 per year scholarship is being provided for the runner up. Eight other students will receive book scholarships valued at $500 each for their freshman year. ....
