A Texas man accused of murdering his friend in March 2021 was released on bond, then was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon a year later and released on bond again.
It’s almost as if Harris County’s Criminal Justice System has bent over backward for James Sotelo. Corey Thompson’s mother wants to know why he was out on bond when police say he killed the 17-year-old.
"His bond was reduced not once, but twice. It's hard to see a judge doing that," said Corey's mom. "It's Judge Josh Hill, 232 Criminal District Court."
