doing over 90. you are over 90? yes. nbc s miguel almaguer joins me from burbank, california. unbelievable. to think about the things that must go through your head 37 do you pull the emergency brake? do you switch off the ignition? put the car in neutral? how big of a problem is toyota dealing with now? really the ripple effect where people who own hybrids and other toyotas concerned that their cars may be affected and they are asking so many questions to toyota and dealerships. you will recall james sipes the man driving the toyota, told nbc news a few weeks before that car accelerated out of control, according to mr. sipes monday, he says he took his car in to a local dealership because he received a recall notice. he said the mechanics there told him that his car was not part of that recall. that, of course, a few weeks axwo later, monday, he says that car accelerated out of control. the police say that it was a wild ride. it went on for more than 30
miles and 20 minutes. mr. sipes says he was going about 55 miles per hour on interstate 8 just outside of san diego when he tried to pass another driver, then he says his car simply became just ran away. he lost control of it. it passed several other cars in a few minutes, chp, california highway patrol, cruiser was able to pull alongside and shouted over a loudspeaker, p.a. system, to give him instructions to step on the brake and to pull the emergency brake, try to put the car in neutral. short time later that car did slow down. and of course, there has been fallout ever since. we will be watching to see what toyota s response and federal investigators response is. miguel, thank you very much. coming up, who is jihad jane and what does her arrest mean for the war on homegrown terrorists? we will talk with pete emerson. huge surprise a mother gives birth at home to a baby she didn t even know she was pregnant. what happens afterwards is truly shocking. the smell of home made
