The San Francisco 49ers are still at a crossroads with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. While we can tap our foot and say, "hurry the hell up," the fact is, this is about right where the 49ers usually.
When would the 49ers season take on a momentum of its own? When would Jimmy G just be the QB again, and not the guy who had said his goodbyes, packed his bags and had surgery, only to be resurrected in the red and gold, like a ridiculously good-looking Frankenstein?
Jimmy Garoppolo is responsible for rejuvenating the 49ers fan base. Let s not forget it.
Amid the Matthew Stafford rumors, it seems likely Garoppolo is on his way out. But it is entirely unnecessary to kick him on his way out the door.
Here is an example of what I am talking about from a 49ers media member.
Garoppolo missed the 2018 season because he tore his ACL fighting for extra yards in a comeback bid against the Chiefs.
The blatant disrespect and unprofessionalism is perplexing. This is a massive slap in the face, not just to Garoppolo but for many who experienced the energy shift he generated inside Levi s Stadium and around the Bay Area.
