Search By Live95 News Team Minister Patrick O Donovan says Sheila O Regan would have made a fantastic TD or government minister.
There s shock in West Limerick following the sudden death of the Ardagh woman who was known as a champion of volunteerism.
A well-known Fine Gael campaigner Sheila was involved in the Ardagh voluntary housing organisation and the local voluntary community radio.
She also promoted tourism to the area with her work at the Palatine museum in Rathkeale and she was great supporter of the local arts and literary community and served on the board of the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
A unique challenge involving a group of 14 people located around Sligo covering the equivalent distance of a journey to Paris and back has begun.
Ransboro s James Lawlor, and a group of friends, have embarked on a month-long challenge which will see each participant run 100 miles over the course of February.
The group are doing so in aid of three charities - the RNLI, North West Stop Suicide and North West Hospice.
The reasons for undergoing the gruelling challenge are plentiful with James himself motivated to give back to the RNLI having benefitted like many others from their service in the past.
