YARMOUTH  On Wednesday afternoon, a contingent of vehicles from the town s police, fire, sanitation and public works departments drove around Town Hall with sirens going. 
The drive-by parade was coordinated as a send-off for Town Administrator Daniel Knapik, whose last day on the job is Friday.
“It was completely unexpected,” Knapik said, noting his wife, Tricia, was in on the secret. 
“I want to thank the people of Yarmouth,” he said. “They accepted me as one of their own. It was a great stop in my career.”
Just days before Knapik is set to leave, the Select Board on Tuesday voted to hire the town s next top official. ....
