What brought this hearing together was the action of a regional director of the National Labor board who suggested these athletes are employees and therefore could, if they chose, vote to join a union. So we explored some of the possible downsides of that issue. We heard from witnesses here that talked about how would this deal with class attendance and practice times, attending games, how many games, what about walkon players, or universities that are public and dont fall under the National Labors act and a host of potential problems.
