To the editor:
Thank you to the many hands that helped rescue our baby eagle that was caught in his nesting materials on March 26 and 27. Thank you to Pine Island, St. James City Fire Department, CROW, Florida Fish and Wild Life Conservation, LCEC and to our Florida Audubon Eagle Watch volunteer Jerry Hook, who made many phone calls seeking help. Our eaglet struggled 2 1/2 days trying to get free before being rescued by an LCEC boom truck. The eaglet was taken to CROW for care. Thanks to all who helped or were concerned about our young eaglet. Thank you from the Cactus Point Lane eagle nest neighbors and friends. ....
