Henry D. Adcock


Henry D. Adcock, 82, passed from this life Friday December 11, 2020. He was born in Comanche on October 3, 1938 to Doyle O. Adcock and Delma Sue Bain.  Henry never married, but his life was filled with lots of family that he loved and doted on, as well as them him.  Henry graduated from Gustine High School and then graduated from Fort Worth Business School.  After graduating he went to work for R H Fulton in Lubbock, after that he worked for Cross Plains Construction in OK. Henry was a Pipeline Spreadman Manager for both companies. He has been the glue the family homestead, since the death of “MA”, his mother.  Always having family reunions, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and any other event the family needed.  He was really into feeding up the family, then took on the same role in the Gustine community for funerals, fundraisers, and anyone he knew might need it.  He and his sister Dorothy made lots of different kinds of candy and cookies to fill large boxes at Christmas time ....

James Norwood pulled a 37th minute goal back for Town after Tyler Smith and Tom Nichols had scored for Bristol Rovers with the scoreline 2-1 to the visitors at half-time.
Town boss Paul Lambert made six changes from the side which exited the FA Cup to Coventry on Tuesday.
Tomas Holy kept his place in goal with Cole Skuse skippering with Luke Chambers still out with his neck injury.
The veteran Bristolian, who was with Rovers as a schoolboy, made a rare start at right-back with Janoi Donacien unwell. Luke Garbutt was on the left with James Wilson partnering Luke Woolfenden at the centre of the defence. ....

Bristol Rovers recorded their first victory at Portman Road since Boxing Day 1958 as the Blues were beaten 2-1 by the 10-man Pirates, their third League One defeat of the season. Tyler Smith and Tom Nichols gave the visitors a 2-0 lead before James Norwood pulled one back in the 37th minute and the Blues were unable to find a second even after visitors’ skipper Ollie Clarke was dismissed for a two bookable offences on 77.

Town host fifth-placed Bristol Rovers at Portman Road looking to return to winning ways having drawn their last three games in League One and not won over 90 minutes for six matches in all competitions.
The Blues are currently 11th in the League One form table over the last six games overall and 12th on home form over the same period.
Town lost only their fifth game in all competitions this season 2-1 to Coventry in their FA Cup second-round replay on Tuesday when they put in what manager Paul Lambert admitted was their poorest display in his 13-and-a-half months at the club. ....
