A small town is dealing with a big housing problem. The city of centerville has declared 12 mobile home trailers in the city to be unsafe to live in. And the residents of those trailers werent given much time to get out. i think it kind of sucks. Because what i understand they only have seven days,and they dont have no place to go. Centerville has been working with the owners of the highlander Mobile Home Park since last november. Concerns over safety of the homes. Wednesday. 12 homes were notified they have seven days to find a new place to live. some of the minimum housing violations. Are related to health and safety and the health of the residents. Its a very tough situation at this point. Were trying to work with the mobile home owner, local agencies the people to find a place to move to. Recovering after being attacked by an inmate inside the mitchellville womens prison. The man was one of four Corrections Officers injured in the fight. It happened tuesday in the prisons dining hall. The Union Representing the officers says the incident could have been prevented if more staff been on duty. They also say officers should be able to carry pepper spray inside the prison. And here they got the pepper spray locked up in the captains office and ya gotta run back and get permission to get it and by the time thats don the incidents over.
