The Lac qui Parle County Board of Commissioners has called for a public hearing for bonding to help finance projects including a two-story structure proposed to be connected to the north side of the courthouse in Madison and a new highway maintenance shop.

Lac qui Parle County begins the new year with a reorganization in the courthouse. The county has its first county administrator. It recently combined the recorder and assessor offices to become the land records office, and appointed a new auditor/treasurer.
