In January of this year, Jake Reinhardt, his fiancee and their three-year-old daughter were woken up in the middle of the night when they heard somebody banging on their front door. When Reinhardt got to the door, he saw a man with a long firearm by his front door.
“Open it up or we’ll kick it in,” the man yelled. Reinhardt asked the man at the door to identify himself, but the man responded by demanding once again that Reinhardt open the door.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â The New York Department of State tells 7 Eyewitness News the armed bounty hunters who raided a home in Buffaloâs Seneca Babcock neighborhood are not licensed in New York State and could face penalties for what they did.
The Department of State regulates bounty hunters and licensing and says âBail Bonds LLC, located in Lebanon, PA is not licensed in New York State as either a Private Investigator or a Bail Enforcement Agent.â

Police and bounty hunters sued after raiding wrong home

Recorded on video holding an innocent family at gunpoint and raiding their home without a search warrant, at least two Pennsylvania bounty hunters along with New York police officers have recently been sued by the family for violating their civil rights.
Last month, Jake Reinhardt was asleep with his fiancée and their three-year-old daughter when an unidentified bounty hunter repeatedly banged on his front door while ordering him to open the door before they “kick it in.” Peering through his window, Reinhardt saw two armed men standing next to a couple of Buffalo police officers on his front lawn.
