SALISBURY, N.C. (WBTV) - A Salisbury woman was charged after a police officer saw her car strike another car, and after she led that officer on a short chase.
The incident happened just before 9:00 am on Monday. According to the report, a Salisbury Police officer saw a woman strike another car near the intersection of Old Concord Road and Julian Road. When the officer attempted to stop the driver, she sped off.

SALISBURY, N.C. Police in Salisbury have given the all-clear after two suspicious packages were dropped off at the Rowan County Health Department, Tuesday morning.
Police said the bomb squad has removed the packages and no incendiary devices were found. The contents of the packages were only personal items, clothing, and toiletries, police report.
Salisbury Police Chief Jerry Stokes said around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, a man with a history of substance abuse and mental illness entered the health department seeking assistance. According to the Salisbury Police Department, the Cabarrus County Bomb Squad has removed the packages from the Rowan County Health Department and no incendiary devices were found.
Police say the contents of the packages were only personal items, clothing, and toiletries.
The scene will be released for normal operations Tuesday.

SALISBURY, N.C. The Salisbury Police Department is investigating two suspicious packages that were dropped off by a man at the Rowan County Health Department Tuesday morning.
Police say a well-dressed man entered the health department, located on East Innes Street, carrying two packages. The man then told staff that they were important and valuable packages and he had to leave them there, according to Salisbury police.
