Three young men were taken into custody Sunday after reports of machine gunfire at McKenzie Court in Tuscaloosa.
Police responded just before noon to the apartment complex off Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard after receiving calls that men were shooting hundreds of rounds from machine guns, said Tuscaloosa police spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor.
A Tuscaloosa police sergeant responded and notified other officers about a silver BMW he saw speeding from the area. Multiple units responded, stopping the vehicle in the area of Interstate 359 and 35th Street.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - Three men were arrested Sunday afternoon after hundreds of rounds from a machine gun were reportedly fired at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex.
Officers responded to McKenzie Apartment Complex around 12 p.m. Sunday in response to 911 calls. Upon arrival a silver BMW was seen speeding away from the area. Officers pursued the vehicle until it was stopped near I-359 and 35th St.
