Jagdeep Dhankhar accused Jairam Ramesh of misconduct and stated that he is not fit to be a member of the Rajya Sabha. Congress MPs had questioned Dhankhar for giving the floor to RLD s Jayant Singh to speak on the decision to confer the Bharat Ratna on his grandfather Chaudhary Charan Singh.
TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee, along with other opposition leaders, staged protests and mocked Jagdeep Dhankhar. Rahul Gandhi was seen recording the skit, which drew criticism from BJP. The Jat Association also warned the opposition MPs and Congress leaders for ridiculing Dhankhar.
