People will have to show Covid test report and ID proof at the shrine
BHUBANESWAR: Crowd-control measures have been put in place for the reopening of the 12th-century Jagannath Temple in Puri to all devotees from Sunday.
The shrine, which was closed on January 1 and 2, had so far allowed only residents of Puri municipality, servitors and their families to enter.
The chief administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Krishan Kumar said all devotees would have to produce Covid negative certificates from Sunday. The Covid test should have been done within 96 hours of the time of entry into the shrine. Both rapid antigen and RT-PCR test reports would be accepted, he told TOI.
