Police: Stamford drug probe leads to arrests, illegal gun

STAMFORD A search of a downtown Stamford apartment as part of a drug investigation turned up a convicted felon with a gun and a small amount of drugs, police said.
Capt. Richard Conklin said a monthlong investigation led to the arrest on Friday afternoon of Salaahudiyn Jerry, 36, of Tresser Boulevard for selling crack to an undercover police officer on two occasions.
Officers in the Narcotics and Organized Crime squad had Jerry under surveillance at about 5 p.m. Friday when they decided to take him into custody on Daly Street, Conklin said. As they searched him they allegedly found a small amount of marijuana and crack cocaine in his possession, Conklin said.
