Nine bodies were pulled out of the debris on Saturday, two days after a landslide hit an under-construction tunnel on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban. The rescue operation has ended.
The rescue operation launched to evacuate workers from the site of the collapsed tunnel in Khooni Nallah area of Jammu and Kashmir s Ramban district concluded on Saturday after the bodies of all 10 missing persons were retrieved from the debris, officials said.
The death toll from the under-construction tunnel collapse on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway has risen to ten, as the remaining seven bodies were retrieved from the rubble on Saturday, officials said. They said a case of negligence has been registered against the company executing the work.
