put him on two years supervised probation, demanded that he do 400 hours of community service and pay $5,000 to the victim s fund. this came after about an hour presentation by arenas defense attorney and even arenas himself, standing in front of a judge saying i m very sorry all this happened. every day i wake up and i wish it didn t. he said by lying about what happened, he was out to protect his family, his teammates. he said he would rather keep a friend and a teammate and lose everything else. it was an emotional day for gilbert arenas here in this courthouse. again, a judge sentencing him to 30 days at a halfway house, putting a suspended 18-month prison sentence, two years supervised probation, 400 hours of community service, and a $5,000 fine to the victim s fund. now this comes after the prosecution had asked the judge to sentence arenas to jail for three months as a result of this gun incident last year at the verizon center. we re here gathering reaction. i ....
