Three Humboldt Couty students have returned home with awards from the California Science and Engineering Fair, held in April at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
During a meeting Wednesday, the Arcata city council authorized a loan for Danco Communities to study a property they hope to build mixed income housing on. The funds came from a tax aimed towards streamlining housing. The council did not approve a similar loan for Arcata House Partnership on the agenda for low income housing on agricultural land, citing concerns about developing open space.
