the country remembers a decade after the september 11th attacks. good evening, everyone, i m alan wang. an emotional day as people across the nation remember the nearly 3,000 people who died. thousands came out to honor the victims of september 11th, 2001 at the pentagon, the field in shanksville, pennsylvania and the world trade center. it was a day of memory 1k3 z mourning. i wish my dad had been there to teach me how to drive, ask a girl out on a date and see me graduate from high school. the sadness was clear as family members saw the 9/11 memorial and it was a chance to see them engraved on the reflecting pools. they were also in attendance at ground zero this morning. wayne freedman was reporting there and he is back again tonight. what a difference 10 years can make and what a difference 24 hours can make. we are 100 yards from the memorial. we had two presidents and we had dig gnaw dignitaries. we didn t see many firemen. they had their own. sometimes pick y
