Leon Coetzee, 55, who is accused of murdering Thabethe, appeared in the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Wednesday, where he applied for bail. According to the State, Coetzee stabbed Thabethe three times outside his home in Green Acres Estate, Montana, Pretoria, on 26 April. This was after Thabethe allegedly went to Coetzee s home at around 21:00. Thabethe died in hospital on 1 May. Thembinkosi Thabethe, who died on 1 May after being stabbed in the estate he lived in.
