Goodfellows helps out during tough year

There’s no doubt about it; this has been a tough year. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our daily lives, and, for many, it has caused pain and suffering. Goodfellows purchased clothing for 1,772 children this Christmas season, which was an increase of more than 600 children from 2019. The number reflects the economic damage the pandemic has caused our community. However, as they have in past tragedies, people in our community stepped to the plate and lent a hand – physically and monetarily. In previous columns, I’ve listed and thanked organizations and volunteers who helped Goodfellows this year. I again thank them, and I also thank the Goodfellows Board of Directors: Kim Graves (president), Bill Gaunt (vice president), Gloria Spears (treasurer), John Wiles (secretary), Katie Auten, David Barnes, Tristan Clouthier, Susan Cone, Brian Elllis, Susan Harding, and Sherry Rahl.
