Andy Dickson had been messing around, still just feeling his way toward chords, as he taught himself to play his first Sigma acoustic guitar in the spring of 1994. Dickson, 19 at the time, eventually got better and better, and the Sigma was with him through it all, even during recent worship services he led at the First Baptist Church of Ponte Vedra Beach. Dickson figures the guitar must have become unhinged after an early morning stop for gas in Tifton, Georgia, on Dec. 19. Arriving in Jamestown, Tenn., at about 3 p.m. later that day, Dickson s heart sank when he didn t seen the guitar in the pile of other stuff he d packed. ....
