He was 70 years old. In what turned out to be his final broadcast back in December 2020, Limbaugh thanked his faithful listeners and noted that he had “been able to outlive” his terminal cancer diagnosis during an emotional sign-off. “Even if I can’t make it back, know that this is where I want to be, I will always want to be right here with you and I won’t quit fighting to be right here with you,” Limbaugh said at the time. ....
steve centanni fills us in tonight from the pentagon. what is the good news, first of all? for the first brigade contact team, part of the tenth mountain division. they just learned they will not be deployed to iraq as planned. now, those 3,500 troops are, instead, going to be in the pool of possible troops that could be sent to afghanistan, but of course no decision has been made on any additional troop deployments for afghanistan, so they don t know what their next mission is going to be. it is especially good news because they would have had to be gearing up and mobilizing over the holidays if they were going to be sent to iraq and now they can spend that time home with their families. bret. bret: meantime, the government accountability office blasted the army today for faulty testing of body armor. right. bret: how did the army respond to that? the general in charge of that program admits there were mistakes made, mostly in the way of procedures ....
