A town s new multi-million pound surgery building has officially opened.
The new Ivy Court Surgery building in Tenterden has opened for pre-booked appointments only.

Plans for the ambitious expansion project were confirmed in November 2018, with work starting in July the following year.
The new three-storey building will bring the surgery s capacity to around 20,000, a dramatic increase from the previous building, which was already over-capacity.
It is believed that the surgery will begin to serve that number within the next five to ten years as new developments come to the area. ....

A town that had been forgotten during the Covid-19 vaccine rollout is to get its own centre after weeks of uncertainty.
The Ivy Court Surgery in Tenterden will be rolling out jabs for the town and surrounding area as early as next week.
Tenterden residents will soon be able to get vaccinated in their own town
Residents who qualify for the Covid-19 jab are currently forced to travel to Charing Surgery near Ashford.
The journey clocks in at about 25 to 30 minutes on a quiet day, but presents real problems for residents who do not drive, leaving many people frustrated. ....

More GP surgeries will start issuing coronavirus vaccines after additional centres were set up and approved by NHS bosses.
The extra eight in towns across Covid-hit Kent now bring the total to 17 after the first nine started giving out jabs from Tuesday.
