Deliberate and casual remarks and opinions that denigrate Indigenous Australians and immigrants abound. It is concerning to note that racist views are often aired with confidence and a presumption that one will agree with, and certainly not challenge, such hurtful bigotry and prejudice.
The Philistines remain with us as a permanent fixture of our culture and have always been a conspicuous element in society.
