Provided April 22, 2021 Chicken Salad Chick is targeting the state of Virginia for franchise growth, aiming to open six locations via franchise partnerships over the next two years. The Auburn, Alabama-based chain, which has two locations in the greater Richmond area, is kicking off the development push with a unit opening later this month in Christiansburg. Its Hampton and Roanoke units will be ready by summer s end, and the chain plans to have eight locations in Virginia by 2023, according to a company press release. Melissa Holt, who grew up in Virginia and brings five years of experience of in-store restaurant operations and internal franchise system management in the restaurant industry, is behind the Hampton development. Situated in the heart of the Hampton s shopping and entertainment district at the Peninsula Town Center, the restaurant, located at 2850 Kilgore Avenue, will open in early Q3.
