Concert set in Gregory Park
One Night Stand will kick off a summer music series at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at Gregory Park in Brainerd.
The concert is free and open to the public. The summer series is a collaboration between Brainerd Parks and Recreation Department and The Center. Organizers changed the name of the concert series to Performances in the Park because not all performances will be musical concerts. Those who attend each week will enjoy a variety of performances.
One Night Stand is a group of musicians who perform widely in the Brainerd lakes area. They craft their own wonderful and unique arrangements of well-known songs from a catalog of rock, blues, jazz and gospel tunes, a news release stated.

This children’s book addresses a topic that is rarely geared toward children. Written in rhyming verse by two of Rochester’s own, it focuses on identifying what leadership is and looks like, and how kids can be leaders every day.
