good evening, everyone. i m erin burnett. outfront tonight, we told you so. the economy is doing a lot better. today, the third month in a row of frankly really good job numbers. today s jobs report shows the u.s. added 227,000 jobs last month, and more people felt optimistic enough to actually get back into the labor force. that s why the unemployment rate held firm. now, everyone is increasingly optimistic about the jobs picture in america, something we at outfront have been saying for month. our strike team said there wouldn t be a double-dip recession last month, and after the december jobs report, we were all excited when we said this could be president obama s morning in america moment. that was ronald reagan s theme for his victorious 1984 re-election campaign, and last month after the strong january jobs report, we said it again. and we re glad all of the talk about the double-dip is gone, but we re realists and the problem is there are real problems out there. wage
tech equipment supplied by iran. let s go straight to our pentagon correspondent, barbara starr. barbara also seeing reports of high-level defections including at least four generals. do u.s. officials think that s significant? reporter: right now, john, senior u.s. intelligence officials are telling us no. and that s the problem. they are seeing no cracking in the inner circle around because char bashar all assad. they are seeing no evidence his powerful inner circle is cracking. and that imagery that has now been declassified and released today is also critical. because what it s providing the u.s. intelligence community is very specific information about where syrian forces are on the move, what they are shelling, the destruction of mosques and hospitals in critical neighborhoods. you have the video on the internet. but this is the kind of key intelligence that they are pouring over right now to get a better idea of what the syrian military s really up, to john. as the
month in february we added 233,000 private sector jobs. more companies are bringing jobs back and investing in america. and manufacturing is adding jobs for the first time since the 1990s. we just had another good month last month in terms of adding manufacturing jobs. and this facility is part of the evidence of what s going on all across the country. this company is about to hire more than 200 new workers, 140 of them right here in petersburg, virginia. so the economy is getting stronger. and when i come to places like this and i see the work that s being done, it gives me confidence there are better days ahead. i know it because i would bet on american workers and american know-how any day of the week. the key now, our job now, is to keep this economic engine churning. we can t go back to the same policies that got us into this mess. we can t go back to an economy that was weakened by outsourcing and bad debt and phony financial profits. we ve got to have an economy that s
satellite images and trying to show iran clean up something at the military base believed to have been a test site for explosives used to detonate a nuclear weapon. it is not exactly sure at this point what they re trying to clear up. this is on the heals of iran allowing u.n. inspectors to visit the base after repeatedly denying access to the same inspectors in the past. the director general of the agency tells matthew chance that he believes iran is hiding something. iran is not telling us everything. that is my impression. so, we have, we are asking iran to engage with us proactively. and iran has a case to answer. mike raunlers of michigan is chairman of the house intelligence committee. nice to see you, sir, thank you for your time. we appreciate it. we have been talking about these satellite images that we re just getting word of. what can you tell me about these images? well, those are the satellite shots that you see are probably commercial sites, so, we have ac
inconveniences over the next 12 to potentially 24 hours. we ve been talking about the sun here for a good couple of months because we re entering the cycle or part of an 11-year cycle where we re in the solar maximum. the next 18 to 24 months really we ll see a lot of this stuff. what do we mean by that? a lot of this stuff. black areas on the sun. sun spots. a lot of geomagnetic energy there. these are areas that throw out solar flares. we love looking at these puppies. this stuff coming to us. this is as measured in the x-ray part of the wave lengths. that just looks cool. this is the solar flare that happened a day and a half ago. you see it kind of bubbling up and then, boom. there it goes. all those x-rays and radio wave lengths immediately get to the earth. the radio blackout happened about 1.5 days ago. it also emits coronal mass of plasma that s highly charged stuff. that eventually gets to the earth as well. when it does so, boy, we start to see some things happen. t
