The MIT School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences welcomes new faculty Isaiah Andrews, Joshua Bennett, Crystal Lee, Nathanial Hendren, Eli Nelson, Ashesh Rambachan, Nina Roussille, Jessica Ruffin, Caitlin Talmadge, and Miguel Zenón.
Professor Angela Koehler has been appointed as the faculty director of the MIT Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation. The center works with MIT faculty and students on bringing innovative technologies to market.
Keeril Makan, head of the MIT Music and Theater Section, has been named associate dean of MIT's School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. He will serve concurrently in both roles.
MIT geophysicist Leigh “Wiki” Royden combines geophysics and geology to study subduction zones to understand how they create mountain belts. She first studied geophysics after a sports injury led her to the subject.
