working on bipartisan ships. joe manchin just praised schumer for giving them a chance and, senator romney is looking at being open to the conversations. think they can show that off or shut that down, you do have to give bipartisanship a chance. but also, the clock is pretty much still ticking. i will pivot back to the point you made earlier about mitch mcconnell. mcconnell saying that he is not going to allow a supreme court pick by biden. because i think that it encapsulates what is wrong with washington. a lot of it has to do with mitch mcconnell. mitch mcconnell basically saying, i don t care what the constitution says, i don t care with the norms and rules and precedent of the senate says. i m not going to allow this to happen because i am about power more than i am about upholding the constitution and rules of law. and this is a consistent pattern. this is, more than anything, this is why the senate is broken. this is the man who is saying,
appreciated. he was being involved in a domestic political er and and we were being involved in national security foreign policy, and those two things had just diverged. she s talking about eu ambassador gordon sondland, and setting aside something that a lot of women have latched onto when women show anger sometimes it s misinterpreted. she s also talking about a domestic political error and what everyone else was trying to do. that s a particularly interesting phrase and it s again, i think typical of fiona in that it has a slight edge to it. it distinctly separates what she was doing, national security, from what was going on between sondland, giuliani and others. and i think that is why that jumps out at everyone, because it encapsulates what was going on more articulately than anyone else. another high profile woman, another woman that you have profiled, and former ukrainian
investigating whether our u.s. president was in fact a russian agent. i think it s sort it encapsulates what many critics of the fbi and justice department and critics of the mueller probe have said, it is sort of this overarching theme or dogma against the president, that he needs to be removed from office, that he s working with the russians, his campaign colluded with the russians, they re firmly dug in on that. it is not shocking at all to me that this is revealed that they were investigating whether he was i mean, we knew during the campaign when he was saying on the campaign trail, i think in sort of a joking manner, calling on russia to investigate hilary clinton s e-mails, that that may have been part of the reason why they were going to initially launch a probe into whether he was colluding with the russians. i mean, a lot of us saw that and immediately thought it was a joke. but there are a whole other group of people saw that and really said wow he must be working with t
