We understand from turkish media now 12 people in custody, according to local reports here on the ground, 12 people being questioned in connection with this attack, but we don t know what the potential links might be. we re not being, that information also not shared with the media. we were told by istanbul police this attack lasted seven minutes, that the gunman fired more than 100 shots inside the nightclub and among those injured is an american, jake raak, he spoke to nbc s richard engel earlier today. here s a little bit of what he said. somebody said that, you know, there were shots fired and i did not believe it and until i saw the gunman and then started shooting up the whole place. he was walking on a bench above my head where my head was underneath. when he shot me, i didn t move. i just let him shoot me. i was shot in the hi the bullet traveled to my knee and was lodged in my knee. i was probably the luckiest ....
