Former Bells officer sentenced for filming up a women s skirts Herald Democrat A former Bells police officer was sentenced Wednesday to two years in state jail on three counts of improper photo of visual recording without consent. Scott Kilmer, 57, pleaded guilty to the charges in January 2020, but the offenses happened in 2016-2017. The case that ended Wednesday started when Kilmer, who at that time was an officer with the Bells Police Department, was arrested on for possession of an improper photo or visual recording without consent a state jail felony. Kilmer almost immediately resigned from his job where he had worked for nearly four years. ....
Additional needs learners from Coleg Cambria achieve personal DofE landmark during pandemic An intrepid group of students with additional needs have not let the coronavirus pandemic stop them achieving a personal landmark. Eight Independent Living Skills (ILS) learners from Coleg Cambria completed the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE). They are among a staggering 180 youngsters from the north east Wales college participating in the DofE programme, which includes volunteering, physical and skills challenges, and an expedition. Some members of the ILS cohort will now go on to pursue their Silver award, to the delight of Steve Pearson, a Lecturer in Sport. ....
