welcome back. 12:00 p.m. eastern, 9:00 a.m. pacific. i m in for andrea mitchell. we begin with a major shake up in israel. netanyahu announcing today he is dissolving the war cabinet, which has been responsible for managing the war effort for more than eight months. this comes as israel s military says it will pause fighting along the route in southern gaza for 11 hours a day to allow humanitarian aid in for the millions of desperate palestinians. netanyahu reportedly disagreeing with this pause calling it quote, unacceptable. the idf says it struck targeting after hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets in israel on friday. joining us now, raf sanchez in tel aviv. let s start with you. why did the israeli prime minister dissolve the war cabinet and what does it mean? reporter: primarily because those centrist opposition figures who joined his government a week after the october 7th attack in a show of national unity have now walked out of the government. they left with a p

Confess that iran was engaged in Nuclear Weapons related activities, given all of this. So i think negotiators are going to have to be very resourceful in finding a way to resolve this. I think the key will be to frame the issue in such a way that iran doesnt have to admit past guilt, but provide sufficient information to satisfy us that some activities engaged in the past do not have implications for covert programs in the future. Thats going to be hard, that its going to be essential. And the final issue i will mention is duration but if you look at the joint plan of action, it only says at the end that the conference of agreement will be of longterm duration. The parties could Reach Agreement on a precise number of years. It becomes very important because another element of the joint plan of action is that once this comprehensive agreement expires, then iran will be treated in the same way as any nonnuclear weapon states party to the npt. And what that means is that perhaps some of
