trace gallagher, live in jerusalem, 7 a.m., gaza border smoke in the background. there would also be fire, apparently another airstrike from israeli defense forces no word of a ground invasion. but there is breaking news because overnight the united states, would be f16s targeted ammunition and weapons storage areas in syria. it was a strike that united states says had been coming. i want to bring in the national security correspondent with a statement from the defense secretary. what do we know? well earlier tonight about two hours ago these two u.s. f16s carried out airstrikes on two different facilities near the iraq border in southeastern syria near abu kamal. they were irgc run, one stored weapons one ammunition. u.s. defense we spoke to said they didn t know if iranians were there but iranian fingerprints were all over the attacks that have been taking place on u.s. bases since october 17th and they hope with this quote precision airstrike on these facilities that i
