Israel will launch its long-threatened offensive against Rafah next month if Hamas has not freed the remaining hostages held in Gaza by the start of Ramadan, Israeli war cabinet member Benny Gantz said.
Israel warned its war against Hamas will continue throughout 2024 as unrelenting strikes killed two dozen people in Gaza and the Palestinian militant group fired a rocket barrage at the stroke of midnight. "We are continuing to handle the underground tunnels and to strike the rocket launching array, in order to reduce rocket fire into the State of Israel," he said, adding that "dozens of aircrafts are in the skies of Gaza at any given moment".
Israeli forces will kill Hamas if they are seen firing from hospitals in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military said Friday as deadly fire hit hospitals in the Palestinian territory.
Israel has ordered a complete siege of the Palestinian enclave, cutting all supply of food, water, and fuel in retaliation to Hamas' surprise attack on the Jewish state on Saturday.
