Hit by train, former principal of Ispahani Girls School and College dies

A former principal of Ispahani Girls School and College died after a train hit him in Dhaka s Karwan Bazar area this morning.
The deceased was identified as Nirode Baran Roy, 60, who retired in January this year.
Sub-inspector Rafiqul Islam of Dhaka Railway Police Station said the teacher was walking along the rail tracks in Karwan Bazar when the accident happened around 10:00am.
A witness told police that Nirode was talking on the phone when two trains were passing by. He could see a train but could not sense another heading towards the airport from Kamalapur, the witness said. ....
