'Bangladeshi port has investment potential for Turkey'

DHAKA, Bangladesh
Significant development projects are in pipeline in Bangladeshâs main port city Chittagong that “may attract investment from Turkey,” an official statement said on Wednesday.
“Chittagong Port, historic gateway to Bangladesh, presents many opportunities for Turkish companies to invest,” the statement by the Turkish Embassy in Bangladesh said, adding that “prominent Turkish LPG company Aygaz A.S. will hopefully be the first one to do so.”
The statement came after a four-day tour of Turkish Ambassador to Bangladesh Mustafa Osman Turan to Chittagong on Jan. 9-12, 2021.
The Turkish diplomat met a number of officials, business leaders and academicians during his tour at Chittagong, also the commercial hub of the South Asian nation. ....

DHAKA, Jan 6, 2021 (BSS) – Turkish Ambassador Mustafa Osman Turan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md Akhtaruzzaman today at the latter’s office of the university.
DU Treasurer Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Coordinator of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency Dr. Ismail Gundogdu, DU Proctor Prof. Dr. A K M Golam Rabbani and DU PR Director Mahmood Alam were present.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest and exchanged views regarding expansion of ongoing joint collaborative academic and research activities between Dhaka University and the universities of Turkey.
In this regard, they laid emphasize on signing MoUs among DU and leading universities of Turkey. ....
