NEWPORT After a year-long pause, Rhode Island Red Food Tours have brought back their Newport Neighborhood Food Tour and eager foodies have booked the company out through May.
“It s exceeded what I expected,” Rhode Island Red Food Tours Paula Silva said. “I knew that it was gonna be a busy season but I expected it later in the season, I did not anticipate essentially the whole month of May to be sold out.”
Rhode Island Red Food Tours usually hosts its Newport Neighborhood Food Tour from late April to November each year, guiding tourists around local restaurants. Last year, the company decided to pause food tours out of concern for the impact on restaurants and participants during the COVID-19 pandemic.
