A good monday morning. We begin with breaking news. Several people rushed into surgery overnight after a man opened fire at a pool party in Southern California. In fact, in all eight people were shot at that apartment complex in san diegos University City area in la jolla. At least one person pronounced dead overnight. A witness says the attacker was sitting calmly with a beer in one hand and a gun in the other. Others describe the scenes of chaos, people running for their lives and trying to help each other. New video also shows police storming that pool area. You can hear the rapid gunfire come out of that video. Police say the gunman actually pointed his gun at officers and was shot and killed.
