While on Thursday Srinagar recorded the seasons coldest night with temperature of minus 8.4°C, which is the lowest in the last 25 years. In January 1995, the temperature was recorded at a minus 8.3 degrees Celsius. The Director of Meteorological Department Sonam Lotus said it was after 25 years that the mercury has settled to as low as minus 8.4°C in Srinagar. “As per our record minimum temperature of minus 8.3°C was recorded in 1995,” he said. ....
