Incredible. along with the dead, 1100 people are still missing. hundreds of survivors in this predominantly catholic nation attended church services to pray for the loss. this woman is trying to find peace after her children and her sister s children were torn from their arms in the storm surge. can you imagine. their bodies still have not been found. there is some real signs of progress on the ground though. ten days after the typhoon stormed ashore. survivors in hard-hit tacloban got food today. for some, the first real meal in more than a week. the power of mother nature as our rosa flores said moments ago. i think the same person, producer said, is this the same person, the i-reporter in the home praying, that well speak to? so you saw the i-reporter, the tornado someone filming the tornado out of the window and right away started reciting the the lord s prayer and praying there. ....

And that bay, all the way to 16 feet from where we are, that s sea level. 16 feet from there, that s where the waters stopped rising. everything you see, all the way through here, all the way through here, all those homes, all those houses, all those businesses, gone. we re going to keep talking about it for the next couple hours. chad, thanks so much. typhoon haiyan left devastation of monumental scale in its wake. many areas are cut off from transportation, communication, power, and in an attempt to get any word out at all, people in devastated areas are using i reports to send message to their family. an ireporter who works for a social media company in manila uploaded notes from tacloban, a sorries of hand-written messages. some were written on paper plates, random pieces of paper, anything they could find. and back here in the u.s., families are also desperate to make contact with their loved ones. ....

We have a zip in the jet stream. so that cold air pushing in from canada. those temperatures are going to be moderating. here s what s happening. we will start to see a shift take place in the jet stream. so a huge trough taking place across the west. guess what? that marches its way towards the east. until then, by the middle of the workweek, temperatures fairly mild up and down the eastern seaboard. good news, right? that is until the weather system is that will affect mid-west with some snow and high winds starts to march its way towards the northeast and the mid-atlantic. but until then, those temperatures are expected to be about 5 to 10 degrees below where they should be this time of year. only about 47 degrees in new york city. temperatures by wednesday in the 60s. now, this is what happened over the weekend. we did see a partial solar eclipse. now, this is in the northern hemisphere. this is from our ireporter. the last time this happened was in 1854. ....
