The Department of Foreign Affairs is today launching its sixth annual global St Brigid’s Day programme of events. Since 2018, Ireland’s diplomatic network, in partnership with local communities from Mumbai to Madrid, Sydney to Santiago and London to Lilongwe, have organised St Brigid’s Day events to celebrate the achievements of trailblazing, inspirational women all over the world.

Minister Catherine Martin welcomes the reopening of Ireland’s National Cultural Institutions   Catherine Martin TD, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, has welcomed the reopening today of Ireland’s National Cultural Institutions, along with galleries, museums and libraries across the country. Many of these cultural attractions welcomed their first visitors back this morning following several months of closure due to COVID-19 public health measures.
