Lot of us want to take that next step and go beyond the speech tonight and see how we can work together. and if you spend a good hour or so together listening to the president of the united states address the nation, then the next step is, well, how can we take what he s asking us to do and find a way to create some common ground and work together and make it happen? when you look at culberson s record, against the dream act, i can t think of anything you two agree on. there s quite a bit we agree on. we re both the parents of young children. we work together on internet safety. he s my republican sponsor on the internet safety bill. we served on the appropriations committee together and worked quite a bit on appropriations legislation. so there s, on the surface it may not seem like a very conservative member and a liberal member have much in common, but when you get to know each other as individuals, you find you re able to, that there s a lot more common ground ....
