Jeremy Rockliff,Minister for Trade Tasmanian exports increased by 1.2 per cent in 2020 compared to the previous year despite the significant disruptions caused by the global pandemic, according to the latest ABS data. These results saw Tasmania record the third highest annual growth in the country, and are very encouraging indicating more positive signs about confidence and our economy. Due to the ongoing uncertainty in global markets and international freight, we released our Interim Trade Action Plan, and invested an additional $2.65 million in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support Tasmanian export businesses. Tasmania has what the rest of the world wants, with our goods increasingly in demand as our reputation for high-quality products continues to grow across the globe. ....
